Build a World Where All Youth Are Informed, Encouraged, and Supported

“I don’t really know a lot. I feel like a lot of people don’t, especially my age. I feel like a lot of candidates don’t really, like, look toward us, I guess. I feel like it’s kind of hard to know where we stand.”

Who We Are

The goal of this website is to act like a resource to empowering students, teachers, and first-time voters with the knowledge and confidence they need to participate fully in society. We believe that voting is not just a right, but a crucial civic responsibility that will be able to shape the future of communities and the country. By providing accessible resources and clear explanations, we aim to break down barriers to understanding and encourage informed decision-making. Whether you are stepping into a classroom or a voting booth for the first time, our goal is to ensure you feel prepared and supported. Informed participation strengthens democracy, and every vote is a step toward a more engaged, equitable, and hopeful society

Why is Voting Important?

Voting is a fundamental part of any democracy, allowing citizens to influence decisions that affect their daily lives. When you vote, you help choose leaders and decide on policies that determine how your community, region, and country are run. This process ensures that the government reflects the will and needs of the people, rather than just a select few. Unfortunately recently, the young demographics (ages 18-24) have consistently voter at a lower rate than any other age categories.

01.

— Representation

Voting ensures that diverse voices and perspectives are heard in government. Elected officials are more likely to address the concerns of those who participate in elections.

02.

— Strengthening Democracy

Voting is the foundation of any democracy. When more people participate, the system becomes stronger and more legitimate. High voter turnout signals that citizens are engaged and invested in their country’s future, which helps prevent corruption and promotes accountability among leaders.

03.

— Influence

By voting, individuals have a direct say in who makes decisions about education, healthcare, the environment, and other critical issues. This influence means you’re not just a bystander, but actively shaping the future of your community and country.

Teaching Young

Kevin C, student of Bell Intermediate School

“Voting is so important for a functioning society. Although I can’t vote, I’m still interested in things that can and will affect me in my day-to-day life. I think it’s important that students, like me, understand voting is a simple process to let your voices be heard”
